  Our Mission

 

Our mission at TribalMamma is to create a space for all pregnant women during any trimester to embrace fitness, mindful movement, and their strength as they prepare for motherhood and embrace the warrior woman within themselves. TribalMamma aims to prepare the woman for labor and birth by using relaxation through dance, the rhythm of music, and practice throughout the pregnancy to turn it into a ritual.

Our Vision

Our vision is to increase the mental and physical well-being of mammas around the world, increase natural births, decrease cesarean section rates, decrease interventions during labor and increase the amount of happy birthing experiences.

"Aerobic exercise for 35-90 minutes 3-4 times per week during pregnancy can be safely performed by normal-weight women with singleton, uncomplicated gestations because this is not associated with an increased risk of preterm birth or with a reduction in mean gestational age at delivery. Exercise was associated with a significantly higher incidence of vaginal delivery and a significantly lower incidence of cesarean delivery, with a significantly lower incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus and hypertensive disorders and therefore should be encouraged."

"Active women seem to be better prepared for labor and delivery and recover more quickly....Low-impact activities at a moderate level of effort are comfortable and enjoyable for many pregnant women. Walking, swimming, dancing, cycling, and low-impact aerobics are some examples. These sports also are easy to take up, even if you are new to physical fitness."
